The decision follows concerns related to the Israel\u2013Hamas conflic<video width=\"354\" height=\"200\" muted=\"true\" src=\"https:\/\/play.aniview.com\/60d5e58543972f2377389576\/6568c8635dbb8ee23c02d7aa\/Irelandwide.mp4\"><\/video><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shirley Vermillion, the festival\u2019s founder, cited logistical challenges and sensitivity to the ongoing Israel\u2013Hamas conflict as reasons for the cancellation. \u201cThe concern is of folks feeling like we are siding with a group over the other . . . not a direction we ever decide to head,\u201d Vermillion said. She emphasized the festival\u2019s inclusive nature and mentioned scheduling conflicts as well as a reluctance to have the festival engage in religious activities.
