Light News Pet of the Week: Ellie, the shepherd saved from the shelter

SAN ANTONIO – It’s time to name our Pet of the Week! Now more than ever, pets have a special place in our families and in our hearts.

Every week we search through the hundreds of pet photos we receive in Chime In and choose just one to give the honorary title of Pet of the Week. Nothing is won with the title except bragging rights for the week. Share your beloved pet photos with us and tell us what makes them so special and your pet could be chosen next!

Hope tells us that Ellie sleeps with her and her hubby AND her sister, a lab named Rose in a king-sized bed, which is NOT big enough for the whole family.

Ellie loves to give Hope doggie kisses. Probably her way of thanking her for saving her from a shelter!

“Ellie is my alarm clock. Every morning at the same time, she will wake me up by licking my face and making these cute noises,” said Hope. “And after I finally get out of bed she starts zooming
