They are working to fire folks up for the election, especially with the tight race for governor.
“If it’s tied and the leaners are leaning their way, that’s what we need to do. We need to go out and make a difference,” Senator Steve Newman said.
Newman hosted the final Get Out the Vote Super Saturday event Saturday morning to get people excited and involved in the upcoming election.
Some special guests showed up, including Delegates Kathy Byron and Wendall Walker, Senator Mark Peake, Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney Bethany Harrison and Lynchburg Sheriff Don Sloan.
All of them there to support Republican candidate for governor, Glenn Youngkin.
“We are excited, are you excited? Are we gonna win? We need to win folks,” Byron said.
Byron said there’s a movement happening across the Commonwealth right now, and it’s going to take everyone’s help to win down the ballot.
Wendall Walker said if Youngkin wins, it will send this message across the nation.
“Enough of Democrat rule. You see this sign right here. This is what I’m looking for: stopping one-party rule,” said Walker.
Byron and Walker are encouraging folks to get involved, whether that’s by knocking on doors to spread the word or by volunteering at the polls. They say everything helps.
Remember, you will now go to your designated precinct to vote this Tuesday, Nov. 2.
